This list covers 18 rivers with names starting with the letter X, running from “Xi River” to “Xindian River”. Most flow through China, Southeast Asia, and the Iberian Peninsula, cutting through mountains, grasslands, and farmland on their way to lakes, seas, or larger rivers. People rely on them for drinking water, farming, fishing, hydropower, and in several cases, tourism and whitewater rafting.

Rivers are natural channels of flowing water that carry rain and snowmelt from higher ground down to lakes, seas, or other rivers. They shape the land around them, support farming and wildlife, and have guided where towns and cities grow for thousands of years. The Xi River, for example, feeds directly into the Pearl River Delta, one of the most densely populated regions on Earth.
